Our Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance tournament will be held on either 3-way or 4-way (depending on number of participants) free-for-all maps set on 90 minute assassination. The only mod that we will be running for this tournament is X2 Resources.

Having multiple players per match, 90 min time limit, and X2 resources will help us effectively play this with out taking massive chunks oftime out of the LAN itself.

Match ranking will primarily be based on survival. If your ACU is assassinated first, you are placed last. If more than one ACU stands after 90 minutes, then score will determine placement for surviving commanders.

Tournament Ranking will be based on accumulated ranking. the person with the lowest acumulated ranking wins. If there is a tie, a chanpionship match will be held with rules announced at the time.

A NEW CHALLENGER HAS ARRIVED!

I just pre-paid for DFL2, and plan on being there to claim what is rightfully mine. Namely, the prize for Supreme Commander.

Let's get it on!

heh, that we shall, that we shall. Hopefully, this time Sals will understand the implications my claims to have a "Bakpak".

UEF commander can get to be a bit broken if you get that going. Ahhh... I still remember the cries of "What the hell?" coming from that half of the room when the first tiny sun erupted during he last LELP.

I am in the process of choosing the maps. I have always viewed winner chooses as an unfair advantage to keep the winner winning. Aside from that, you will not be playing the same people every round so that would make it difficult as through randomness one match might end up with all winners or losers from the previous rounds.

It will be 3-4 players per match. Maps will be in correspondance with number of players. All matches played in a particular round will be played on the same map. Ex, 12 players = 3 match groups. Round 1 all match groups play on map A, Round 2 (match groups change) all match groups play on map B, ...etc.

The only exception will be if there were an uneven amount of players per map. ex: 11 players = 2 match groups of 4 and 1 match group of 3. In this case, a 4 player and a 3 player map wil be chosen for that round.

I have already made spread sheets that will automatically assign everyone to a group for each round that changes based on how many total players sign up and the rder in which they sign up. Once everyone has signed up, matchings will be revealed.
